How lovely to see the girls in this photograph wearing their tartan kilts, thick socks and sensible shoes. I have a photo of me taken in 1950, wearing an identical outfit, many miles away in Liverpool, Lancashire, England.
I have just found out that my family came from Smithyford, Glenbuchat. My GGG grandfather George PATERSON married 1787 Mary Janet ROBERTSON, so how weird that I should be dressed the same.!!! Wonderful. Best wishes Elaine
