The Jack de LaLaing mentioned may be Jaques de LaLaing (1998-1969) is thought to be the son of Charles Maximilien, Count de Lalaing who was the Belgium Ambassador to UK from 1904 to 1917. Isa is presumably his sister Isabella (1896-1929)
Philae mentioned above is Helena Philae Maxwell daughter of General, Sir John Grenfell Maxwell. With the outbreak of the great war he was appointed Colonel of the Black Watch. In 1916 Sir John was appointed Commander-in-Chief and Military Governor of Ireland. Later that year he returned to England and was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Northern Command at York.
Philae married in July 1919 Lieut. Clifford Carver of the US. Navy. His career included: Secretary to American ambassador, London, 1914-1915. Secretary to Colonel E. M. House on mission to Europe for President, 1915-1916. Assistant to Bernard M. Baruch in Council National Defence, 1917.

Nigel Ivan Forbes, 22nd Lord Forbes was the only son of Atholl Laurence Cunyngham Forbes, 21st Lord Forbes, and his wife Lady Mabel. lHe served in the Second World War as a Major in the Grenadier Guards and was wounded. Between 1947 and 1948 he was Military Assistant to the High Commissioner for Palestine. Forbes succeeded his father in the lordship in 1953. In 1955 he was elected a Scottish Representative Peer and took his seat on the Conservative benches in the House of Lords. He was the last surviving person to have sat as a Scottish Representative Peer. He served under Harold Macmillan as Minister of State for Scotland from 1958 to 1959.
