Glenbuchat is a picturesque Glen in Strathdon Aberdeenshire. It is a Glen of fascinating history, natural beauty and wildlife. It had suffered a dramatic population fall until recently, with a drop in the population from 500 to 50 souls. Recently, however, there has been a resurgence of people living in the Glen, both young and mature, all delighting in the beauty and natural resources of the glen.
The aim of this site is to record and make available many aspects of the history and heritage of the area. Started as a photo record site it has expanded to record many maps and text entries. Many are images or information from a bygone age; some are images from present times. New images and information are always welcome. Pages can be viewed by year, by album, by group, or by contributor, or you can use the simple search at the top of this page. This is your site so please make use of it
