Glenbuchat Old Kirk Service 2020

Mr Bruce Luffman who gave a tour of the Kirk.

Due to the Covid–19 pandemic of 2020, the annual service at the old kirk of Glenbuchat which is normally held in August, had to be abandoned.

Out of misfortune came some benefit as the Rev Simon Crouch assisted by Bruce Luffman and members of Strathdon Church produced an excellent video was a Service at Glenbuchat Old kirk and at Lumsden church

In the middle of the recording Bruce Luffman, who is chairman of the Friends of Glenbuchat Kirk, gives a history and a view of the interior of the church. The Friends of the kirk have recently funded the restoration of a number of gravestones in the Kirkyard and all are now standing safely erect. The Friends with the help of a legacy have also arranged for the recent repainting of the interior of the church

During the video Bruce brigs attention to the cards which announced the music to which the Hymns would be sung, led by the Precentor.
