Master and Servant Case.
Wm. McHardy, Corrymore, Glenbucket, was charged before Sheriff Comrie Thomsen on Friday with failing to implement his engagement as farm servant to Harry Ross, Wester Coull.
In pleading guilty, McHardy said he had cut his hand, and could not work. The Sheriff did not consider this a proper excuse, and sentenced him to pay a fine of £1, with £2 of costs, or seven I days' imprisonment.
