"The photo shows my father Alexander Cameron in Essex, after he left Sunnybrae Farm in Glenbuchat -He joined the Police Force in 1902-He is standing by the old car-next to him seated is my mother -the other occupants are her sisters -I think the photo was taken in 1909"
Can anyone identify the car? Interesting 'sprung' wheels.

This is a wonderful photo of your parents.Glad you pointed out the wheels, I was so busy looking at the faces I almost missed it. Very unique, I have never seen wheels like that before. This photo is so clear. I wondered what Alexander's wife, your mother, looked like. This photo contains so much visual information about the family and time period, it is a very valuable photo. Thank you for sharing this.
Now at that time when they would go visit the family in Glenbuchat with this car, Would it be an uncommon sight? I see lots of horse and wagons, but I have never been there, so did people in Glenbuchat at that time use cars or see them often? Just curious. The more I see of Glenbuchat, the more I would one day love to go visit where my husband was born, but this is the next best thing to being there.
