Mistake. It should be the Ross family in Ballochduie. The Davidson family were in neighboring Newseat

In 1805, Twins, James and Peter Davidson were born to Alexander Davidson and Mary Glennie, in the Old parish Registers of birth is stated, Alexander Davidson in Ballachduie.
The said James, a crofter had a son called James born in Newseat 1842, his brother John b.1850 was also a crofter so this could be him in the photo.
