I am not positive about Charles Elrick but I would say probably 95% sure it is him. He had a brother John McBain Elrick who was the Father of Larry Elrick who lived at Gardeners Cottage in Bellabeg. Larry was my mothers cousin.

This photo was printed in Charles Christies 'Stray Memories of Strathdon' in the 1930's (a copy is held in the Local Studies Dept. Aberdeen Central Library). It was said to be of a squatter in Glennochty. Does anyone have more details?

According to my dad, Robert (Robbie) Elrick, Charlie Elrick was his uncle. His brother, my grandfather, was also a Robert (Auld Robbie) Elrick. My uncle, Gibby MacKintosh had always insisted the Elricks came from Glenbucket.
