159 jean Beattie Sampler

This is the top half of the sampler which my great-grandmother, Jean BEATTIE (1829-1910) made in 1843. Her parents were Lewis BEATTIE (b 1800) & Mary DAVIDSON (1801-1885) and they lived in the fermtoun of Netherton.

Jean Beattie was the last of my ancestors to live in Glenbuchat before marrying and slowly migrating towards the city of Aberdeen.

It is a treasured possession in my care, and has been instrumental in helping me disentangle, and confirm most of who are in the initials. However, some of the surnames ending in D and N still confuse me - comments welcome.
